Royal Heritage & Legacy

Born into the storied Khimsar royal family, young Gajendra Singh spent his formative years between Khimsar Fort and the foothills of Dehra Dun. He attended Welham Prep and The Doon School, before earning a B.A. at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi (1975–78) and a BBA from the University of Western Ontario, Canada (1979–83).

Returning to Rajasthan in the mid-1980s, he first turned his hand to heritage hospitality—reviving Khimsar Fort and supporting local artisans. Elected MLA in 2003, he has held portfolios for Energy; Forests, Environment, Youth & Sports; and, since 2023, Medical & Health. Across four terms, his flagship initiatives have brought electricity to remote villages, expanded tree-planting drives, launched youth sports leagues, and most recently rolled out mobile medical units.
